GOODBYES LEAD TO NEW FUTURES The first feelings of graduationwere shown on Awards Day. We saw many of our capable classmates receive awards for their abilities. Among those receiv- ing awards were Sandy Rosenberry, John Phillip Sousa Band Award; Wayne Jen- kins, Arion Award for Band; and Tom Barkley, Arion Award for Choir. Graduation grew a little closer as Baccalaureate Services were held in the school gym on May Z3. The speaker was Reverend Bjork. Graduation was here. Commencement Exercises were held on May 25, in the Churubusco Gym. Mr. R. Nelson Snider, addressed the class on Who Is Educated. After receiving their diplomas, the class of 1965 advanced the first step toward new futures. The top two of the Senior class were Nancy Heck, Valedictorian, and Gayle Green, Salutatorian. Nancy had an overall average of 3. 85, and Gayle had 3. 83 out of a possible 4. 00 during their high school careers. Terry Howdyshell and Bob Warner were awarded trophies for oeing members of all sports at Hunter - town. Both are Juniors and should have a good year in store during their Senior year.
