Students Explore The Teaching Field Barbara Arnold, a future teachet, prepares and acquaints herself with the teaching profession by helping an elementary class to learn new words and read. Exploratory teaching is a new credit course in which students in their senior year of high school who plan to be teachers are allowed the opportunity of observing and participating with the regular classroom teacher. It offers the opportunity of helping the future teacher decide upon which level of children he wishes to teach. Typing involves a finger-tip method of placing information on paper. Shorthand provides a quick method of taking notes, and bookkeeping involves the handling of money. All in all, they formulate the background for the modern office worker. I liked the way my typewriter typed before, says Steve Bowser.
