Everyday Life Is The Most Exciting At noon there is the usual rush to the lunch line. If you are lucky and can crowd, with- out getting caught, you can have a choice place to sit. At night we have our school sponsored dancer to attend. Tliey prove to be a lot of fun, especially the ones like the Hobo Hop eiven by theN.H.S. All through high school memories are being built, we remember the very impor- tant occasions such as the prom and banquet. But we remember most of all the fun we had just being with our friends and doing the usual things. Here on this page are shown some of the everyday happenings at Hunter- town High School. At noon there is ping pong, dancing in the gym and of course, there ' is always tiie sliudious group that spends their noon hours in tlie chemistry room. Ball games is one of our more favored activi- ties. Here our team is shown coming from tlie dressing room at one of our games at Leo. 13

L Speaking And Reading Open Many New Worlds VINCENT RUPP, English 10 and 12, Speech; B.S., Fort Wayne Bible College, Indiana University, Bowling Green State University. Juniors and Seniors arc kept busy with re- search papers the second semester. Here Jane Heck is using our library as a source for her paper. DONALD E. HELM. English, Social Studies; B.A. and M. A. , Butler University, Indiana University. English is a medium of communica- tion of ideas --whether it is used in speak- ing, reading or writing. It is the core of every class, from the first to the twelfth grade. Being able to express oneself in both oral and written work is essential for an all-around education, which is carried over in cveryoncs life. The speech class was kept busy with the all-school play, convocations, and two-plays given at the end of the school year. Here is a scene from It ' s Cold In Them Thar Hills which was given free of admission at the end of tlie year. Wayne Tliompson seems to think that notccards arc an absolute must in giving a speech. - 15
