BLACK AND GOLD FLASH The Black and Gold Flash with its twenty- three staff members keeps the school buzzing with the latest news and events of the year. The paper is published monthly by the journalism class. This is the second consecutive year of the year of the Black and Gold Flash, and the staff with the sincere teaching of Miss Greenawalt has added many new improvements to the paper. Digging up news stories and assigning them to the staff members is the job of the assignment editor, Ioyce Branning. Make-up editors are Darlene Butt, lean Davis and Richard Moore. Writing the interesting features of the paper are editors Lloyd Gump and Bruce McComb. Art edi- tor, Phyllis Smith, takes care of all art work. Copy editors are Betty Easterday and Lorraine Opliger. Keeping the students posted in all sports are editors Richard Horstmeyer and Robert Gordon. lean Ann Campbell has the job of exchanging the Flash with other schools of the county and sending the Flash to out-of-school subscribers, Richard Yearling and Norman Plummer han- dle the business of the paper, and Robert Richey and Pauline Pulver are the office managers, lack Grim takes care of the many newsletters sent out to service men who have attended I-luntertown School. Circulation managers are Don Genth and Lee Freeman, The typisis for the Flash are Norma Fox, Maryann Keener, Barbara Van Anda and Alvera Aikens. CITADEL Meet the statf ot the Citadel as appointed by Mrs. Kincaid. First oi all the editor-in-chiet of this yearbook, which the statt decided to call the ClTADEL , as ot previous years, is loyce Bran- ning. She has Worked hard and done very Well. To help her is Betty Easterday, assistant editor. The faculty editor is lean Campbell. The senior editors are lean Davis, Lorraine Opliger and Bar- bara Van Anda. For the rest of the high school the editors are junior, Margaret Overlyg sopho- more, Nondis Becktell, treshman, Pauline Pulver, The grade editor is Norma Fox. ln charge ot the organization are Darlene Butt, Maryann Keener and Elizabeth Wise, Keeping us posted in the sports world are George Arnold, George Gallaway and George Van Anda. The little man with the camera is Myron Warner, who manages to take pictures just when everyone looks his prettiest. On the business staff the business manager is Richard Pepe and his assistant is William Lutter. The sales mana- ger is Richard Horstmeyer and Lloyd Gump is the assistant manager. They sold subscriptions to the Citadel. The advertising manager is Robert Gordon. Don Genth, Richard Yearling and Nor- man Plummer helped him as assistant managers. ln charge ot the publicity are Alan Herendeen and Robert Herdrnan. As they always leave the best until last you must meet our able sponsor, Mrs. Kincaid, under Whose direction We were able to produce this Citadel.
