Wayne Re- kowski, Frank Rekowski The HCHS Red Devil's Football team is starting to pick up the pieces from the past two years with a respectable C4-53 record and things are looking brighter since entering the tougher Mid-State Conference. The team was led by signal caller Bill Dixon with running backs Steve Gooditis. I46fFootball Dan Capone, and Fred Hermann grinding out the yardage. Its been said a running back is only as good as his line . The line did a superb job with Darren and Doug Miller, .Chris Doiron, Darren Dalley, Tim Pense, and Mike Wood all dominating the line of scrimmage. The aerial attack on the receiving were standouts Tom Clark, John Bredeson, an Jim Murphy. All did an excellent jo beating some of the finest defensive backs in the state to gain great yardage. The offense averaged approximately I7.I points per game, which made the Devil one of the most competitive in th . Conference. Central has quite a defense which will b quite dominant next year due to th number of starters returning. The fron line consisted of Darren Miller, Bria Diguevera, Tim McGivney, Joh Doremus, Keith Wilson, and Scot Oldenburg. In the linebacker spots wer Doug Miller, Mike Destefano, Le Sember, Tony Ercolano, and Stev Edwards. The talented defensive backs were Miken Johnson, Steve Shallop, Mark Pfenninger, John Bredeson, Dan Capone, and Bo Cole. All slowed down teams which wer thought to have greater aerial attacks. Central is now just beginning to rebuil the tradition it was once known for. Th best of luck is wished upon the teams o coming years from the seniors of this . year's team
