T0 THE CLASS OF l983 Congratulations: you have survived the rigors of adolescence and, as a young adult, are making decisions that will determine what the future years hold for you. What is the class of l983 made of? In September I979, it was made up of over SOO insecure, gangly-limbed, thirteen and fourteen year olds. At that juncture, you were children in every sense of the word - wondering just who you were and what the next four years would mean to you as an individual. We, the adults of the H.C.H.S. community, have watched, at times with a great deal of anxiety, the young adult emerge and begin to take charge of his and her own future. Sharing the disappointments, the joys, the failures and successes of the last four years now gives us all a feeling of great pride in playing a part in the critical growth years. Who are you? You are merit scholarship finalists. accomplished athletes, expert mechanics, budding artists, exacting secretaries, recognized musicians, hopeful writers, skillful cosmetologists, and most importantly, future builders and leaders of communities all across this great nation of ours. We, the teachers, support staff, and administrators of H.C.H.S., are proud to have played a part in increasing your knowledge of the world about you and preparing you to be a decision-maker. We wish you health, happiness and success in all future endeavors. X2 W' rles Schaub, Administrative Assistant, Grade 9 Administrationflll
