C6 97 unaways performers convey serious messa e by Scott Stearns To the delight of Hunterdon County residents, Runaways was presented as this yearis Lower School Play on the 12th and 13th of February. Preparing the sopho- mores and freshmen was the respon- sibility of this yearls director, Reva Kazman. Mrs. Kazman commented after the show, I was hoping to create a professional production with 9th and 10th grade actors and crew members. I not only feel I have ac- complished this, but I also feel that we gave a better understanding of the runaway experience. I was im- pressed with the maturity level of these students, and I loved doing the show? Mrs. Kazman was assisted by Student Director, senior Tina Hen- dricks. This yearis cast, unusually domi- nated by freshmen, was composed of the following people: Jenny Walker as Linda Hawthorne, Maureen Mc- Q ' , Kenna as Anne Allen, Scott Stearns as Bill Jackson, Jeanne McKinney as Cookie, Kristen Lewis as Erica Hawthorne, Esther Szymanski as Mrs. Potter, Jeff Carden as Mack, Jenny Dickinson as Mrs. Haw- thorne, Kevin Nichols as Mr. Haw- thorne, Dave Burgher as McGinnis, Greg McFall as Richards, Amy Ja- cob as Sybil, Meg Sloat as Evelyn, Bill Lapczynski as Oscar, Kelly ,- Wallace as Mary, Carolinn Poucher as Gretchen, Patty Schumack as Karin, Andy Nelson as John, and Sharon Opdyke as Ruby.
