Secretaries Mrs. Brenda Turlington, who has served in her secretarial position since the school's opening in 1962. manages to fulfill all of her responsibilities very efficiently. The students and faculty find her to be a deserving asset to Hunter Huss. Administrative Assistan Mrs. Sue Sellers, the administrative assistant to Mr. Clark, teaches in the business department. She also gives assistance in the office each morning by making announcements and admitting tardy students. Mrs. Maude Ramsey, who has been a secretary at Huss for four years, continues to keep the office running smoothly. Always busy with her various duties, attendance reports and absentee lists, she is certainly a pleasant addition to the office staff. Athletic Director Mr. Don Saine, who serves as head football and baseball coach, has been Athletic Director at Huss for six years. He succeeds in providing a sports program that exhibits great competitiveness and school spirit. 22

Assistant Principals Mr. Hiram Baucom, who came to Muss in 1965 as a teacher and coach, has served as one of our assistant principals for four years. He is in charge of discipline, school maintenance, and buses. The Astron staff, students, and faculty find him a pleasant and concerned man who has contributed greatly to the improvement of the school. In this third year as assistant principal. Mr. George Jaggcrs is certainly an asset to the administration. Ilis duties arc varied, ranging from book reports and student absences to discipline and early dismissals. His concern for all students has made him a popular part of Hunter Huss. 21

Guidance Counselors Mr. Dean Brown, who is in his first year at Muss, counsels sophomores and heads the Student Government Association. He also serves as the advisor of the Inter-Club Council. The Aslron staff welcomes Mr. Brown, who is sure to contribute greatly to the office staff. Mr. F.d Barnes informs juniors and seniors of career and educational opportunities. He also coordinates the course selections of all students and works with student schedules. Mrs. Helen Thomason counsels students, particularly seniors, on college preferences, career choices, and college requirements. Some of her responsibilities include sending transcripts, computing class rank, and administering the S.A.T. Librarians Mr. Cassell and Mrs. Kcstcrson
