1 r . MEN's 81 WOMEN's INDOOR TRACK 8z FIELD Another successful season by coach ED ZAROWIN's men's team culminated in one All-American performance and 6 medals at the ECAC Championships. Veteran distance runner KEVIN SUL- LIVAN was A W E S O M E!! Following a Hunter record-breaking, gold medal win- ning 8:33.24 3000 meter performance at the ECAC's, SULLIVAN went on to a 2nd place, All-American finish in the 5000 meters at the NCAA National Championships. His time of 14:27.04 shattered his own Hunter record and automatically qualified him for the Outdoor Nationals. Teammate IAN GRAY took the ECAC 5000 meter cham- pionship, while the 4 X 400 meter relay team of ROGER PEMBERTON, ALISTER COBHAM, BRIAN MILLS, and GLENDON RILEY, set a school record 3:25.18 while capturing a bronze medal. RILEY set the 400 meter Hunter record of 50.67 at the ECAC's, while COBHAM's 1:07.63 perfor- mance in the 500 meter was only one hun- dredth of a second off the record. For the women, veteran ALMA POLIO provided a solid, consistent performance. SHARRON KAHN, CAROL BOWERS, and SHERNETT MCCOOK all performed well in a series of Colgate meets. . .ar 7 fi 71 Q if . Men's Volleyball C223 as of 3!l8J Coach Gary Wohlstetter's squad is off to another fast start. The 22 victories include second place tournament B open invitationals. The team has not lost a non-tournament game all season and has currently won 27 straight non-tournament home games. Hitters Wil- son Mata and Henry Lai were both named to the B open all tournament team, Co- Captains Iko Danyluk and Miquel Agrom- ente have Hawk's steadiest performers while freshman sitter Angel Rodriquez has been an outstanding addition.
