i i LCDR G.P. Shaddock The mission ot the Weapons Repair Depart- ment is to provide logistic support, technical assistance, and repair services tothe submar- ines and other ships tended by HUNLEY. The Weapons Department assists in maintain- ing the various subsystems ot the highly com- plex Fleet Ballistic Missile Weapons System vvhich consists ot the Missile, Guidance, Laun- cher, Fire Control and Navigation subsystems. Torpedoes and missiles are exchanged on a routine basislu 1 ' - These services are provided by the various divisions as tollovvs: Torpedo RepairlW-l Di- visionl, Fire Control RepairlW-2 Divisionl, Nuclear Weapons Repair lW-3 Divisionl, Mis- sile Launcher Repair lW-4 Divisionl, Navi- gation Repair lW-5 Divisionl, and Weapons Quality Assurance lW-6 Divisionl. The Weapons Repair Department consists of approximately 160 highly skilled techni- cians in the TM, FTB, MT, GMT, FTG, and ET ratings. The department head is LCDR G. P.. Shaddock vvith. ETCS R. B.
