Ward, A. Faisal, D. Sieja, B. Faisal. FRONT ROW -- B. Roscnblad, R. Wang, S. Wood, D. Fischer. Great depth Coupled with outstanding performances enabled the 1960 fencing team to compile a commendable record. Sparked by Captain Abdul Faisal, the team won repeatedly. Under the guidance of Coach Sieja, the hard work and unflagging spirit of each fencer was rewarded many times over. Inaugurating the season with a tri-meet between Lawrenceville, Princeton University, and The Hun School, we emerged victorious, to set the prevailing trend. This, tempered sparingly with a few Abdul Faisal practices his lunge defeats in the earlier days of January and February, brought re- newed vigor and effectiveness, with Abdul Faisal and Don Sieja as the team stalwarts. The following year will bring with it five out of six returning lettermen and a new, squad-purchased electric foil scoring system, which will be a valuable training device as well as an indispensible implement for interscholastic competition.
