Chess Club Hun's Chess Club of sixteen members was under shaky auspices most of the year, since arrangements for meetings were usually indefinite. Chess meetings had to fit into the school's schedule when they would not interfere with such things as detention study hall, glee club, and sports. Nevertheless. most of the members managed to play the required one game a week. A new chess ladder was introduced this year, but it required members to play more games than they Could. Activities centered upon the Chess Team of five members who represented the school in the Dela- ware Valley Chess League, Those of the Chess Club who played in the league were Guy Frindell, Bob Whaley. Ronnie lakes, Dick Muller, Luis Costas, Robert M, Kaplan, Pete Spiller, and Abduhl Faisal.
