Kumpitch, D. Metzger. Juniors R. Speir, President D. Savidge, Vice-President jUNIOR CLASS The 1959-60 Junior Class was the largest not only in size but also in achievement. Academically, Rick Gallaudet, Lew Wilson, Marc Efron, Dave Savidge, Ross Speir, and Marshall Waller consistently led the Honor Roll. On the extra-curricular scene, the Junior Class enthusias- tically supported every function of the school. We were well- represented on the Mall staff headed by Marc Efron, who was editor-in-chief. Ross Speir served as sports editor of the EDGERSTOUNIAN. Other clubs which benefited from Jun- ior participation were the Glee Club, Photography Club, and Chess Club. Besides being academically inclined, we excelled in athletics. Al Landis, Jay Maynell, Dave Savidge, John Stewart, Dick Freemann, and Bob Kaplan spearheaded the football team. The highly successful soccer team owed many of its victories to Juniors Abdulrahman and Khalid Faisal, Lew Wilson, Jim Pietrinferno, and Chris Eggers. Starters Tom Petrone, Al Landis, Bill Gilman, and Dave Savidge sparked the basket- ball team. Ross Speir and Gary Rottenberg were the captains of crew and tennis, respectively. The Junior Class, by virtue of its accomplishments, will un- doubtedly be the strongest Senior Class Hun has ever had.
