The newspaper, THE MALL, a student pub- lication of The 1955 Hun School is published four times each school year. An editor-in-chief and a faculty advisor direct the activities of the paper, and editorial board, directly under the supervision of the editor and the advisor, de- termines the policies of THE MALL. THE MALL is primarily concerned with giving the school news to the students' families and to the Hun School alumni. Student Council, social functions, athletic events and the meetings of the parents' associations compose the main part of the paper. Another newspaper, a weekly, issued every Thursday, is also produced by THE MALL staff. 64 THE MALLET, as it is called, is under the supervision of an editor-of-the-week, the editor- in-chief and the faculty supervisor. THE MALLET is issued exclusively for The Hun School students and for the purpose of keeping the student body more up to date on school affairs. Edgerstounian Left to right, back row: M. Zipser, M. Aronson, P. Brakeley, J. Shuter, T Johnson, M. Emzig, D Keffer, W Holden, middle row: R. Engel, S. Siben, S.Caso, W. The Edgerstounian, or any other yearbook publication for that matter, is not a book that will be read once and then discarded. Rather, it is something that will be looked at again, ten, twenty or thirty years hence. Its purpose is to illustrate the figures 33 in the Senior Class, 20 on the Ball Team, etc. lt aids you in remember- ing the school which you have attended, its stu- dents and its activities. It serves as a catalyst for our reaction to the memories of our effort as individuals and as members of a group. A yearbook is primarily thought of as a book of the senior class. However, without the able assistance of the lower classmen and the fac- ulty advisors a pulication of this type would be altogether impossible, but the impetus for its success must exist among the members of the Senior Class. The pages of this book, therefore, bear test- imony to the sincere effort and willing coopera- tion of the students and faculty members of The Hun School of Princeton. 65
