At times, the little squad, led by Co-captains Bill Holden and Jim Lavan, showed remarkable spiritg and, naturally, these were the times when Hun made its best showing on the gridiron. The team had two new coaches this season. They were head coach and backfield specialist, Robert Ball, and line coach, Don Jann, both of whom are now studying at the Princeton Theological Seminary. Under their able instructions the inexperienced team quickly learned the fundamentals of the gameg and shortly thereafter molded them selves into a squad of 1002, teamwork. A few of their opponents were out of our class but on the whole the team did a noteworthy job. The season was not one of great success but we didwin a pair of games, our losses being just double. We also up- set undefeated Solebury School, our traditional rival. At the end of the season awards were given out to the players who stood out in various fields of the game. Doug Wood was given the award for the outstanding lineman and everyone agreed that he well deserved it. The outstanding backfield man in the coaches and everyone elses opinion was Jim Lavin. Bob Edwards was voted the most improved player.
