A TRIBUTE TG THE PARENTTEACHERS' ASSOCIATION FTEN We are so deeply absorbed in our activities that we forget the source of many of our benefits. We Want the members of the Parent 'Teachers' Association to know that the students of Humf melstovvn Public Schools are appreciative of the interest shown in them. The Association exerts much influence in the field of the curriculum and in the assumption of a proper attitude toward extrafcurricular ac' tivities. They offer, annually, prizes in essay writing for those who are talented in that particular field. The ParentfTeachers' Association has been very liberal in its do' nations to our school. From time to time it has provided our library with reference books which are used extensively by the student body. An electric victrola was presented to the music department in order that the works of our greatest composers might be fully appreciated. This organization has supplied our patrol boys with raincoats and hats, and has also provided the needed finances for the Summer Recreation Program. Without the support of the ParentfTeachers' Association there would have been less' progress in the securing of adequate funds for buildings, equipment, and the maintenance of our schools. The students of Hummelstovvn High School are indeed grateful for the facilities they have provided, and We sincerely hope that by this editorial of gratitude we will compensate partially for the debt we owe them.
