BAND lst row Alberta Johnson, Sandra Garton, Dottie Satorius, Margaret Satorius, Arda Jennison, Mary Caldwell, Jo Vandell, Carla Roe 2nd row David Williams, Susan williams, Linds Schecter, Larry Fry, Sharron McGuire, Lisle Smith, Linda Street, Andra Abel, JoAnn Schecter, ugenia Pvans 1rd row Janet Paugh, Lajola Williamson, Jane Pllen Sponsler, Judy Dennis McGuire, Carol Gardner, Bob Killion, Gary Fry, Carlos Paugh This year the band had an enrollment of 15 members in the h1gh school band and 12 in the beginning band The marching season highlights were playing the salute to the flag at each home football game and performing at the half times, and leading the Homecoming Parade The band also attended ath State American Leglon Convention parade at Charlton, Iowa The concert band gave a spring concert with the vocal department They also participated in the small group solo contest at New Virginia and the large group contest at Centerville The pep band played at all the home basketball games Another highlight of the year was when the Humeston Business Men took us to Des Moines to the Ice Follies as a reward for playing in the summer band The members lost by graduation are Dennis McGuire, cornet, Carol Gardner, baritone, Charles Exley and Jane Sponsler, clarinet Borterfield, Joe Snyder, Mr. Hayes, Jim Humeston, Bill Weaver,
