The offense had a total of 896 points while the defense allowed Sul. In the 20 game-season the offensive average was MS points per game and the defensive average was M2 points. Rheta Garton led the Humeston attack in scoring followed by co-captain Karen Throckmorton. The best defensive players were co-captain Carlene Jensen and Jean Trisler. All state Honorable Mention was given to Jean Trisler, at guard and Rheta Garton, at forward. Four regular letterwinners were lost by graduation. They were Rheta Garten, Jean Trisler, co-captain Carlene Jensen and co-captain Karen Throckmorton. The remaining letterwinners can definitely look forward to a good season to come. The leading scorer of the season was Mike Mitchell, with J.R. Surfus second. Mitchell was also the leading rebounder.
