QA I 1 vw 1 MR. D. M. l-IILUARD, Principal it it 3 its mince 4 ,4 p wmfe fa Me gienfazgi f Throughout human history those institutions of man which have been organized to embellish the mind and to ennoble the soul have striven to reduce their idealism to a creed. A creed is a body of principles or beliefs. Those who profess faith in a creed subscribe to its eternal, continuous, and everlasting truth. By its very nature, then, it partalces of the divine, it transcends human fraility, and it contains within itself, for those who ponder its precepts, an attracting power to raise men above themselves. The purpose of l-fumes High School is to quicken the minds and to adorn the spirits of youth, lt is fitting, therefore, that it have a creed. lt does have one whose principles are eternal and inspiring, Although you see it daily on the Walls on your class roorn, although you repeat it frequent- ly in devotionals, permit it never to become common place in your esteem. During your school days and in the years to come, it 1:1 fr noble Creed to live by. The happy, the successful, the useful, and the greatest ol all ages and of all races have lived by it, and will in all ages to carrie Recite it often to yourself silently and meditate upon it ::er1oiisl',f 1'l11.x 111'11 lllllf I 1l1'1l111Il1 11111.x1'lf H111l11' 'fill' I11 lllv 111111111'l11111111',x I11 l111'1 1111 , I 1 1111 w1'1 1'11l1' 111 11 lllllllf lu 1l1'1'1'l11111111'11l, 11111 l111111I.x H1 11,w111l111'.s',w IIA' I .xl1'11'- 111111111111 l11'll1'1 11111'I1l 1111 ll111,x1 ll ,Ill 11 ill 1'111111' 11ll1'1 1111, 1 If 11 11.x f I11 111 fll l111l1l11 fllflll llll' 1 fllll l.x ll, ll111,s1' 111111 l1111'1 'l'FlI4 l11!1111 lllt, 'l l11x lx 11111 1'1'1'1'1l 111111 11111 l119tf.. yt! ,J ' , .1 ss. 1 ,iggii
