Royalty Sno-Daze relgn over winter festival WITH BUTTONS reading Alive in l84,', and a coronation theme of Ice Castles, Tim Newbauer and Nancy Schostek were chosen in an all-school election to reign as king and queen of Sno-Daze. Highlights during the festive week included hat, tie, and shades day, Hawaiian day, and sweatshirt and slippers day. Also chosen as royal court members were: Brian Gomez, and Rosa Gaona, prince and princess: Scott Munos and Milissa Castillo, duke and duchess, and Rick Cruz and Libby Engel, lord and lady. Other seniors nominated for king and queen were: Mario Gaona, Robert Garcia, Bob Gorr, Jolene Jenniges, Trang Le, Teri Mclntosh, Barb McKinley, and Mike Romo. Other juniors nominated for prince and princess were: Tammy Burke, Shelly DeMarre, Ray Kittelson, Chris Loredo, Tina Morales, Mario Mudek, Melanie Nobello, and Andy Vance. Other sophomores nominated for duke and duchess were: Dennis Muller, Jeff Morris, Linda Rosario, and Tim Salak. Other ninth graders nominated for lord and lady were: Jenny Bremer, Jay Ceniceros, Don Johnson, Jackie Johnson, Shannon Martinez, and Mada Parnell. Nancy Regan and Jon Garcia were mistress and master of ceremonies for the coronation, held in the auditorium. Sno-Daze week concluded with a three-hour video dance in the cafeteria. In powder puff action the seniors outlasted the juniors to earn the championship. The juniors earlier had defeated the ninth graders while the seniors had dropped the sophomores. A sixth-hour pep rally ended the school day Friday before Humboldt faced Harding at Harding in a 7:30 p.m. contest. Even though every effort was made to Knock Outvthe Lights of the Harding Knights the Indians came out on the short end of a 38-0 decision. Following the game the Humboldt cafeteria became the scene of a dance with music provided by a video company. Neither Michael Jackson nor Prince were present to pass out prizes to the best dancers.
