We proudly dedicate this book to . . . Claudio Yzaguirra Born in the town of Forua, Guernica, Vizcaya Province, Spain on October 30, 1922, Claudio Yzaguirra came to Amer- ica in 1948t He worked as a sheepherder in Idaho and Washing- ton for about 4 years. Claudio went back to Spain in 1955 There he met and mar- ried his pretty wife, Jesusa Mallea. Then he returned to Amer- ica, became a US. citizen, and sent for Jesusa in 1957. The Yzaguirras moved to Winnemueca and became partners with Mike and Margaret Olano in the Winnemucca Hotel. In 1972, they sold their share to the Olanos. The School District hired Claudio in 1974, and he spent most of the last 15 years looking after us here at Lowry. The Yzaguirras have two sons, John and Louie, and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Angie Claudio and Jesusa are moving to Bend, Oregon, to spend their retirement enjoying the beautiful scenery and fishing streams. We wish them a happy retirement and plenty of fish. Student body officers Lisa Oxborrow 8c Barney Hill present Claudio with a parting gift.
