Top Individual Efforts Send Bucks to State The Volleyball team was led offensively and defensively by Betty Giinsmann with 13 sets per match and 3 downed spikes per match with 4 good saves. Oftensively, Teresa Vesco, Rie Higuchi, Carol Scott, Sandi Smith, Demarah Backus, and Lisa Davidson had outstanding down spikes per match with 6,5,5,4,3,3, re- spectively. Outstanding on Defense were Rie Higuchi, Susan Kniep, and Joni Harmon with 6,3,3 good saves per match, Te- resa Vesco served all 15 points of one game against Battle Mountain. Points made on serves per match were Teresa Vesco with 11 points, Betty Glinsmanh 7, Rie Higuchi 6, Sandi Smith 6, Susan Kniep 5, Joni Harmon 5. In the State Tournament, Betty set up 35 balls for spikes and received 3 coachesi votes for aii-state team. Setting the ball for spikes were Betty, Joni, Holly, and Joyce averaging 13, 9, 8 and 6 sets per game. The girls put together great teamwork and had to practice to ac- complish awinning season of 22 wins and 6 losses culminating with a 3rd place finish at the State Tournament. Teresa goes to the Hoor to save the bail, 26 VOLLEYBALL Rte moves qmckly to save the ball
