Albert M. Lowry High School, pictured on the opposite page, is a complex composed of three main buildings--academie; vocational, including the shop, music room, auditorium, and cafeteria; and the large gymnasium. The school was formally dedicated on November 11, 1967. The two million dollar structure was inspected with satis- faction as the spectators browsed through its rooms. They all felt Winnemucca should be proud of such a fine product of architectural engineering. The 1960' School Board with great respect decided to dedicate the new building to a man who has devoted much effort and time to the educational betterment of the Hum- boldt County School System. That man is Mr. Albert M. Lowry, who served as coach, assistant superintendent, and superintendent for many years. We are truly proud to be able to attend this school named after a man of such charac- ter, and we sincerely hope we can bring as much pride in our conduct in this school as his name already bears. r r 10:11,! Iiltllltlllllll'lll'IIIII o 'll'lll ,- - ..::II'III ' The first year at Albert M. Lowry High School would not be complete un- less the efforts of Mr. Bob Prida were recognized. He is the type of person who has the enthusiasm to make all his undertakings an outstanding success. His endless hours made our Future Teachers of America club the biggest and finest club in the state of Nevada. Through his influence students are en- couraged to do their best at all times. and when it comes to school activities he strives to promote school spirit. His willingness to help and co-operation make Mr. Prida a fine person and a good educator. The yearbook staff takes pride to dedicate the 1968 WINNADA to Mr. Robert Prida for services rendered.
