P177262 pal 3 Message We are entering the last week of the 1961e62 school year and find another group of Seniors about to leave our school and perhaps, our community. They are soon destined to enter the crossroads of a New Realm of Life . Our hearts are filled with happiness because of their accomplishments; however, uneasy because of the Challenge which they must soon face. Many of our graduates are still undecided as to which road they will take--the road leading to ad- vanced schooling in preparation for specific vocations, or the road leading to immediate em- ployment. Szzperiizmzdezzfs Message I am pleased to extend my heartiest congratulations to the seniors of the Humboldt County High School. Your Yearbook con- tains many happy memories which will become more precious as the years go by. This book will bring many fond recollections in future years, and cause many chuckles as you reminisce through the pages. My only advice in this era, when the world is in a turmoil of con- flicting idealisms, is to continue your education. More and more emphasis is being placed on the need for college graduates. We are living in a world of specializa- tion and it is up to you seniors to meet the required specifications and find your proper place in our society. Henry Nel son
