DICK F RANSWAY TOM O'CARROLL Save :1 place in your hearts, our friends so dear, For those of us who are not here today- Spenk only of them kindly, and in a loving way. Seek not to think of their passing, Or of wrongs they may have done; Think only of them living, and the goals They 1111 have won. Think of the deedsy they did for others: You-Hzmd their fellow men. Look forward to the day when you Shall meet with them again. Have :1 joy within your soul, For you once knew them too. Those wonderful people who now though gone Are still so dear to all they knew. Twenty-four members of our Senior Class are planning on continuing their education next year. Three members of Our Junior Class ranked above the ninety-third percentile on the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test. A Vocational Shop program, plus four additional courses, entered our curriculum during the past year. Our Student Body President represented the State of Nevada at the Student Leadership Clinic at Camp Williamsburg, Virginia. I feel this has truly been a most successful school year. To the members of the Class of 1961--it has been a privilege to guide and counsel you during the past two years. I feel that each of you is well prepared to enter our complex society. He completed grammar and high school in Vientiane and attended college at the Uni- versity of Thailand. In college he took a teacher preparatory program as his plans at the time were to teach in the public schools of Laos. After completing his second year of college, Mr. Chittavoravong show- ed a special interest in working toward raising the standards of education in his country. In order to do this, he made an application to the National Defense Administration of the United States to qualify under the foreign teacher exchange program. The primary purpose of the Foreign National Ex- change is for the visiting teachers to see our Amer- ican society on a daily routine. This is accomplished by the teacher visiting the different aspects of Amer- ican life. Mr. Chittavoravong visited the city of Winnemucca and Humboldt County for fourteen days. On his return to Carson City, he made the statement that Winnemucca was the friendliest community that he had seen and visited in the United States. 93 61m 79ch Future is on a visit to our fair town. As he rides around, he sees H. C. H.S. with tennis courts, swimming pool, and ball field. There's LOUIE EIGUREN with his grocery chain stores, and he also has part interest in Dyer Lumber Co. Better slow down, for there's DONN A WAGNER prowling around in her patrol car. This is a good profession for our retired champion wrestler. Then there's JUDY LARUE. She is still living in that four-room trailer with the fifteen kids she's always dreamed of . BOB ECHEVERRIA is in his summer house on Snob Hill. He rests there from coach- ing his famous world-renowned all-girl basketball team. J UDIE GREEN is just re- turning from Russia where she has been a U. S. foreign minister. With her is that famous short story writer, VICI DUARTE, editor of My Confessions. We see FRANCES URIGUEN in her Hill Crest Cafe on Radar Hill serving meals to all the air force boys and their gals. She is visited often by JUDY KENDALL, outstanding comedienne, with the help of her behind-the-scenes man, Mike. '3 Further along we see SHARON YE AZEL giving dancing lessons at an Arthur Murray Studio. Her part-time helper is LINDA ROBEAR, who is happily married to the man she met at Zone Tournament of 1961. A frequent visitor to the studio is BILL HE AVY DONALDSON, the wealthy miner of that thriving metropolis, Jungo. Wandering through the halls of H. C. H.S. again we see new faces. Oops! There's one we recognize. Hi, TERRY GABIOLA. Sitting behind the big desk in the office is BOB, excuse me; R. H. BALLANTYNE. No wonder there's a drag strip behind the school! We see some familiar teachers, too. MARILYN COWAN is teaching the commercial courses. As a sideline she is a stenographer at the Humboldt County Court House. We see MIKE the Brain DOLAN coming out of the chemistry lab. So that's where the loud roar came from! As we peek in the gym door we see-why-our little active DURBIN showing her class how to do pushups, and we hear her say, Now, girls, isn't it great to be coordinated? And here's CONNIE BELL being carried out on a stretcher? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? That's right, she's just had 5th period study hall. As we leave the school, J OSEPHINE UGALDEA is seen bringing her children down the hall. Wonder- where she's going? Why, of course, to the play school in the Home Ec. room. BILL HORNBARGER is now a prospering young lawyer. However, he did have a hard start after he lost his first big case to Miss Scott. CAROL BENGOCHEA became a neurologist and specializes in fingernail biters. Her office is just around the corner from RICHARD GRAHAM'S cracker company. What's that wonderful smell coming from down the street? 0h, PAT HOLLADAY has established a thriving sweet shop, and those cookies of hers are delicious. Next door is the Navy Recruiting Post. Wonder who just went in to sign up? Well it's JIM DANIELS and PAUL MCDONALD! It's the third time they've singed up. Boy, those waves must be something! We hear NAOMI CAUDILL is the new manager of J.C. Penney Co. She's put JIM MCBAIN on regular now, and he's really working his way up. Soon he'll be as'sistant janitor. Have you heard of the SHAW, ECHAVE, DELONG Cattle Kingdom? Of course you have. They own the biggest cattle spread in the United States, extending from the J ackson Range to Golconda and ending on the Oregon border. STEVE, FERRARO is now an international flower seller and while in Hawaii last year he bought all the orchid in- terests on the islands. His wife has one complaint--he never brings her a bouquet of flowers. t RENA PASQU ALE has a booming business running a nursery school. Her own seven kids help out a lot. DIANE WILSON and BARBARA LYELL are the owner of a company that manufactures deck tennis rings. They are also the deck tennis champions of the world. W...- .ch Seen your dentist lately? Well, if you haven't , try ARTHURETTA J. WOODWARD, D.D. S. She pulls teeth at no extra charge. Or maybe you just need a rest and a quiet place to relax. Go to CALLAHAN'S Guest Ranch in Orovada. You'll find plenty of food and rest if the cowboys don't make too much noise. Guess who's just come to town! The All- American playboy, JOHN ARTHUR KRUEGER, and what a roll of bills he's carrying! Girls, watch out! ! KEN KE PHART is slowly nudging Harry J ames out of business. Hot Lips Ken just made his debut in Las Vegas and everyone is clamoring for more. Go, man go! A new world's pole vaulting record has been made by one of our own H. C. H. S. boys. ED MASON vaulted the bar at 18 U4'. We knew he could do it. Congratulations, Ed! DENNIS WOODWARD surely has surprised us. He's an English professor at the Uni- versity of Nevada! His favorite author is Zane Gray. JIM KIRKER, pardon me, Major J ames K. Kirker, is back in town. After his appointment by Senator Bible for the U.S. Air Force Academy and all the work he's been through, it was quite a shock when he was assigned to W. A. F. B. for life. Sergeant KEN RANKIN of the National Guard is giving the air force tough competition when it comes to enlistments since they both have recruiting offices in Nixon Hall. T. V. has made a few drastic changes in the last few years. We see DIANA LULL in place of Hinkly-Brinkly on N. B. C. She gives us all the world news and is also on the international debate team for A Student's Voice in American Schools. If we switch channels, we see the new McCoy I show with their hot rod son STAN the Man, our own real McCoy. J OE MUSTARD found it hard making a living after he was forced out of business. Following his failure, he gave in and became joint owner in his competitor's company, Ketsup Cups. We find their tomato picker to be MEREDITH DAVIS. She enjoys herjob in Southern California except--there she goes again--loosing her contact lenses. , Wait! 1 y A flash bulletin from the Humboldt Star. Miss GLORIA ZATICA has'done it! Congratulations Miss Wool Maker of 1975 and former Nevada seamstress. Oh, LENNY SEE is now a top-notch reporter for the Star. Soon he'll be editor. The Heap of the Week belongs to daredevil CHARLES FOREST and his Bonneville Flat Bomb. CARL GRAUVOGEL is always out at his little mine in the Sonoma Range. He hasn't found any valuable ore yet but is making a fortune selling worthless stock. Honest Carl is what he calls himself. FRANCES MILLER is now a prominent member of the Nevada Supreme Court. She makes a daily run from Carson City to her Paradise Ranch in her four-wheel drive 'Copter. NATHELLE CARTER has found success in her dog kennels business. She advertises and says her dogs are the best in the West. She's renting out one room to the owner of Starbright Productions, Director HENRY J . PERALT A. In Henry's last production he starred as CleopatrayMiss MARCIA TIMM. Alas, Future has reached the end of his trip and has discovered the H. C. H.S. graduates of 1961 in their various roles as prominent citizens of Winnemucca, U.S. A.
