The second garhe of the season was a close conference opener against the Douglas Tigers with the Bucks coming out victorious with a score of 1412. Then came another non-conference game against the Elke Indians ending in a deadlock, 18-18 The Bucks revenged themselves as they walloped the Manogue Miners in a conference game, with a score of 38-19 at Delworth Field. The Buckaroos made it four in a row as they smashed the Tahoe-Truckee XVolverines in another con- ference victory. The score at the end of the game was 52-19. Then came the Fallon Greenwave who handed the Bucks their iirst defeat of the season in a none conference game at Fallon. The final score was Fallon 21 and Winnemilcca 6. Nevada Day at Carson City saw the Senators defeat the Bucks with a score 01 28-7. This proved to he the game of the season in the A Division. VVinnemucca spoiled Lovelock's Homecoming by riding the Mustangs to a 31 to 20 conference victory. The final and Homecoming game of the season was a lopsided ha game as the Bucks blasted the Braves iroan Stewart with a score 01 66 to 0. Humboldt finished and placed second in the A Division Conference with five wins and one loss. and a record of six wins. two losses. and one tie for the season. ignnp Enmhnmn 9. Opening the season against a Double A team. the Buckaroos sent the Carson City Senators home with a loss of 13 points. The final score was 45 to 32. On the following night Fallon. another Double A team. fell victim to Winnemucca in a thrilling overtime and a score of 49 to 48. The Hawthorne Serpents were sent crawling home with a one-point non-conierence loss. The score was 36 to 35. Traveling to Elko for a non-conierence double header, the Buckaroos swept the weekend series with scores 0150-34 and 53-43. ending their usuahsplit with the Indians. The invading Tigers from Dougtas just couldn't scratch themselves a conference victory and were sent leaping home with a 45 to 28 loss. The Buckaroos played their traditional game against the Pershing Mustangs from Lovelock with the Buckaroos riding them to a 42 to 28 conference victory. The Humboldt Buckaroos continued to roll up their conference victories as they scalped the Stewart Braves 67 to 41 at Stewart. They then came from behind at Douglas to spill the Tigers with a score 01 52 lo 43. Taking a break between conference play the Buckaroos squeezed through a non-conierence thriller against the Yerington Lions and came out on top with a score of 41 to 40. The Elko indians again tried to spoil Winnemlicca's record but went home with a 16-point loss. The score ending the game was 57 to 41. Winnemucca stretched their conference lead asthey defeated the Manogue Miners from Reno with a score 01 58 to 36.
