MUSIC CLUB Members of the Music Club consist of pupils who make up the band. the glee club the sextet. and the Freshman band. This 1:3ng group was organized for the first time this year since 1943. Its purpose is to prom otc interest of its members in music. One of the main events of the year was the music club picnic held in May. and the assembly presented by this group was definitely a su ccess. On May 24 the band, into which the fresh had been admitted, the glee club, and the sextet went to Elko for a district music festival. Only male member has a good time CD. ; October 28, 30-Juniors win' volleyball tournament. y l N ovember l-Assembly about chalk that talks with music. i November Z-Femley bows again: 26-6. Team almost freezes to death at Home coming game in Reno. November 5-Students vote on sample state and county ballots. November Hurses! Battle Mountain 26; Winnemucca 21. November 15-Juniors present successful Almost Eighteen? x November 16-Buckaroos take Wells, 40 to 24. November 22-We play-off with Longhorns for Northern Championship. They win. November 23- Youth Canteen. Soph hop with no stags and everybody danced. November ZkTurkeys give up the ghost and we enjoy vacation. December LThe J uniors again! They win interclass basketball by two points from the Seniors. December 7-Pep Club invades Eddyls for feed. December 20-Mr. Clark presents Christmas program. Happy days are here again; vacation you know. qu whole weeks. J anuary 4-We come out on top in first basketball game. Winnemucca 30, Carlin 22. January 6-Ugh! Back to the old grind. ' January 10, ll-The Indians scalp us both nights. January 16, 17-Students bone up for semester exams. January 18-Wells falls.. One more victory for Humboldt. January 24-We win again against Battle Mountain. January 28-Hawkins takes the gavel from Bellon. January 30-Three games at Lovelock. A squad wins by 2 points. This is hard on the heart. February 7-Sweet revenge! Winnemucca 27, Elko 22. February LElko puts us behind the eightyball again. But everyone had a good time at 2A Night in Manhattan, the Junior prom. , February l4-Wells gives us a rough time. They donlt appreciate us up there. February 2l-We take Battle Mountain again. February 22-A three-header once more with Lovelock. We take all three. Lovelock departed prontd! February 26-Juniors present a day in H.C.H.S. It was very funny, even Charlie W. February 27, 2LZOne tournament. We lose to Elko March 1 and are eliminated. We make up for it by having a good time. t March 3e-Latin Club banquet. Everybody wore sheets. Sheets, that is! March 29-The Wolves howl at their Spanish club party. i April 2-We really enjoy our weekis vacation for Easter, even if it does mean coming to school some Saturday. April 2L2Tiger House is presented by the Senior class. Everyone gets a thrill. April 27-Sophomores take off for their picnic. What a day, so we hear! May ZeFHA. spaghetti feed. Where are all the people? May 11-2Those frosh have their picnic. Lots of fun. May 14-The Seniors and beer take their surprise cut. Oh, to be a Senior! May 17-The Junior-SeniorBanquet and then iiBoh Voyage, the Senior Ball best danee of the year. May lHunior picnic. The day after the night before! May 24-The band and glee club go to Elko for festival. May 28-Only one more week for the Seniors. Senior Assembly a big success. June l-Baccalaureate. Seniors recall the good old days.
