A point system is worked out on the fol- lowing basis 50 points for any varsity, 25 points for the best two-thirds majority out for a sport, 10 points for going out for any sport, 10 points for a high six-weeks average, 1 point a mile for hiking» A girl s grade must be above a 2,7 aver- age to enter G.A.A , and if it drops below two consecutive months, she has to forfeit her membership» Ther first month if her average drops below a 2»7, she forfeits only her right to vote» The awards are Senior, certificate of merit for 500 points. Junior, Gothic W, which she may wear on a G«A«A sweater, 550 ppoints, the Sophomore award is a G«A.A« pin, given to a girl having earned 200 pointaj the Freshman award is a numeral given to a girl who has earned 100 points» The final award is a ail ver loving cup which is given to a Senior mem- ber who has earned 1000 points» Rifle awards in the advanced club were given to those having’the two highest averages- Alec a medal was given to the person making the best average in shooting prone, kneeling, standing, and sitting positions- Pauline Bac- kus received a oilvor medal for the second highest average» The Home Economics room was revised into a cosy club room» Curtains rugs and lamps were bought, while many things were donated«. Club room chairs were decorated by members ( The room is now a peaceful resting place- P: B

BOY S ATHLETICS Seven seniora reported on the first day of the football seaeon0 The boys that earned their block W’s” were,(Captain) Earl Bankofler, Gil Prida, Kesael McBride,William StoClair, Cmesle Echevarria, Bob Morrison and John Messenger, The season ended with two victories and two defeats After the close of the football season-, Coach Lowry oalled a meeting of all basketball candidates and succeeded In getting a large turnout The seniora won the lntorclna3 basket- ball championship without any trouble., TUo senior class is supporting the squad with (Captain) Tom 0 Carroll, Earl Bankofler , Oil prida, William St0 Clair, Gus Echevarria, Luis Bargas, and James Edmunds« It looks as if wo were heading for the zone championship and perhaps the stato championship0 Six of the senior boys are expecting to start training for track in the spring they are namely, (Captain) Earl Bankofler,Gil Prida, Kassel McBride,Gus Echevarria,William Arbontoa, and Lula Bargas Having but three track letter men we still expect to cop the championship0 The tennis team will be supported by Jack Arent, Leland Pearce and Dawson Perry Jack Is the only senior letter man in this sport , G,E A U
