Smoke out In its first year Youth Against Cancer aided the American Cancer Society with the Great American Smoke Out. The club also sought donations for the ACS all year. During the November Smoke Gut, YAC members joined the national organization in asking all smokers to give up tobacco for one day. In May President Kelly jones and Secretary Colette Hutchings were featured in an article about YAC in The Houston Post. Youth against cancer Listening to Dr. Gary Irwin, a local oncologist, speak about cancer are Missy Powell, Missy Hower and Mary Simoneau. The doctor was one of the guest speakers who attended YAC meetings throughout the year.
