To The Class of 1970: I take pleasure in congratulating the members of the Graduating Class of 1970: indeed next Sunday will be a day of days for you, your parents, and your friends. The completion of twelve years of formal education marks a definite turning point in one's lifetime. ln fact, the place you have reached is not too much unlike the point at which the old, familiar, well- traveled road meets the new super high- way. For from now on one's driving patterns must change. Old habits must be replaced by new ones -- and usually very different ones . May I urge all to seek out the work that you prefer and to get the type of training and skills that will equip you for the abun- dant life that lies ahead. Remember that no man travels twice the great highway that leads from darkness unto light. With very best wishes, l am, Sincerely yours, John M. Osterman Assistant Superintendent Dear Members of the Class of 1970: There is an undertone of sadness in the thought of graduation. Your High School Days are over. Fortified with four years of excellent training, l am confident that you are all prepared for a new phase of life. No matter what you do or where you go, remember that you will not be carried to success by a chariot of ease. There is only one roadway to success and that is hard, diligent work. l bid you farewell as Students of the Hull Public Schools . May you benefit by every measure of success and happiness in your future vocations and in all your lives. Sincerely yours, Richard P. Charlton Superintendent of Schools
