Crews struggle to get the huge hose in the fuel trtmk. Once in place, the hose will carry oil into the ship's tanks at the rate of over a thousand gallons a minute. All told, HULL used over 3, 860, OOO gallons of fuel during the deployment, most of which was taken on during refuelings such as this.
