It has developed from a group of two or three men and a 1936 fire truck into a well- trained, well-equipped group of 15 men, a tank truck, a '63 fire truck, a new $36,000 fire truck, and a $45,000 building. Money was raised through a one- cent sales tax and a weekly bingo. One person who has been largely responsible for making Hulbert's Fire Department one of the finest in the state is Chief Frank Teague. Volunteers pictured below are Teague, Leon White, Tommy Truitt, Paul Kile, Jerry Pruitt, Gary Willis, Sidney Craig, Dale Fielden, Doc Fielden, Herb Davis, Kenneth Fore, Jr., Howard Daniels, and Kenneth Fore.
