DOUGLAS G. PALMORE 97141112 Clpdf 060914 cgcfoof Mrs. Lillian T. West is a true example of the pioneer spirit at Huguenot Academy, for she was the first teacher when the Academy had its beginning in 1959. Mrs. West possesses a rare quality of un- derstanding and guidance towards her students which is truly exemplified in her warm person- ality. Huguenot Academy is indeed very fortunate to boast of aprincipal like Mrs. West. Her in- fluence over the students is quite dominant as she prepares them for their acceleration into the Upper School. Mrs. West's experience in teaching is quite apparent by her excellent record and she shall continue to shine brightly at Huguenot Academy. c72Qa0f22a.9fef pfoer cgcfoof New to Huguenot Academy this year is Doug- las G. Palmore who has successfully completed his first year as Headmaster. Mr. Palmore received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Richmond and his Master of Education from the College of William and Mary. Education is not a new experience for Mr. Palmore for he has taught in Tokyo, Japan at the United States Armed Forces Institute. Mr. Palmore also taught in Henrico County, Vir- ginia for five years prior to his appointment here at Huguenot. Huguenot Academy is very proud of their Headmaster and his impressive record of achievement in education. Earlier this year he was the recipient of the Outstanding Young Educator Award. We sincerely hope his stay at Huguenot Academy is a long and rewarding one. 111 T? L- f . .i . - ? -TE? .- .. LILLIAN T. WEST
