Rita Jean Betsworth The annual Alumni Association banquet was held this year in the Memorial Hall, Sept. 4th, There were about two hundred fifty present. The classes of 1922, 1932, 1942 and 1952 were featured. The class of 1922 was one hundred percent present and was seated at the speakers' table on the stage. This class includes: Langdon and Kate Morgan of Hugotong Christina QHelfrichj Marshall of Tulsa, Okla.3 Tony Helfrich of Ellinwoodg Bob Wheaton of Hugotong Harlan Hershey of Hugotong and James Hershey of Turpin, Okla. Wanita French, first president of the organization, presented a corsage to Lottie Richardson, class of 1917, who was named Honorary President for this year. Corsages were also presented to Delores fWebberj Blanchett, class of 1934, of Portland, Oregon, and Lieut. 1sco Totten of Hugoton, for having traveled the farthest to attend the banquet. Lieut. Totten had just returned from Korea. The 1952 banquet had an all-alumni cast. Dan Massey, president in 1952, presided, A. E. Kramer, class of 1918, was the main speaker, Roy Lee Nix, class of 1942, led the singing. The welcome was given by Landgon Morgan, class of 1922, and the response by Beverly Myers, class of 1952. The Alumni Association extends a welcome to all members of the graduating class of 1953. Thus we expand and grow with the years - and aid in keeping touch with one another.
