One of the most important undertakings by the student hod} of Hugo High School each year, may, at first glance, seem to he somewhat frivolous and of secondary importance. I hat undertak- ing is the process of publishing the school annual, Buffalo Trails'9. The importance of this project howe er, is magnified with each passing year, and eventually your old school becomes the means by which you are transported hack in time to reli»e. momentarily, a period in your life that grows more meaningful and precious as times goes by. At that point, this copy of Buffalo Trails99 will change from a jumbled col- lection of captioned photographs to a memory pnnoking slice of your exper- iences. that you will find impossible to Phil Kinatobe Superintendent thumb through, without some measures of emotion. ) ou w ill he amazed at how different y ou are and how different your life has be- come. Things that seemed to be of yital importance while you were in high school, will hate become trivial and meaningless. Things that you did not gi»e a second thought to while in high school hate now become the iery stuff around which your life revolves. I hope that you will ha e retained many of the old friendships and relationships that sustained you during high school. I also hope that you have maintained close ties with Hugo and with those of us who remain here at Hugo High School after you have gone. You are no less important to us because you hate graduated. Congratulations to the annual staff for a job well done and to the outstanding sen- ior class of 19H5.
