School started while many changes and improvements were taking place. A new Typing and Drafting room have been two of the main projects. The student and teachers not only appreciate the new clean atmosphere, but also the space provided for better learning and teaching. Superintendent, Clovus Hull has been the main person who has headed all of these improvements, and we, the student body of HHS would like to express our deepest thanks. He has put lots of time and effort into not only improving the educational atmosphere, but the learning and teaching processes. Football season was more colorful and exciting this year because of the Pepsi-Cola Bottling plants gift to the Hugo High School of the new scoreboard. This was a much needed asset in our rapidly improving Gene Nesbit stadium. They are given many thanks by our entire student body. It makes us feel proud to know that someone cares and wants to help the Hugo High School improve it’s facilities. Improvements are not the only thing we recognize, but also the pride and honor that goes into our school. This pride comes from our principal, Mr. Jimmy Holmes, our administration and most important, the students of Hugo High School. We will all remember the improvements that have taken place around us while we attended Hugo High School thru the diligent efforts of the School Board. n School Board members: Mack Jeffrey.
