1969 Buffalo Trails Hugo High School Hugo, Oklahoma Volume XVI Foreword Within the covers of this book lie the memories of one year for Hugo High School. Although these may be dormant for a period of time, I hope that all of us as we review these glimpses of our- selves will be reminded of some cherished moment during this year. If these memories of our high school days are made more vivid in years to come by this book, it will be a success on its own merit. With the hope that the 1969 BUFFALO TRAILS will prove successful, it is dedi- cated to the task of preserving snatches of our lives for personal happiness in the future. ARMSTRONG Superintendent Ideals are guides by which we at- tain our goals in life. Dreams are visions of success and happiness. High school days are the time for ideals and dreams with the challenge to attain our ideals that we may make our dreams come true. Today, when too often our emo- tions overcome our intellect, when war supplants peace, when violence rules over law and order, we become confused as we attempt to establish our goals in life. Your decision to attend Hugo High School is a step to overcome the many challenges that youth face today, Hugo High School is fortunate In having a fine dedicated faculty which is interested in you as a future citizen. May you participate in its many activities, so that you may enjoy the time in Hugo High. MR. PARKER Principal MRS. BRA UDRICK Secretary Board of Education FACULTY MRS. ADAMS Math MRS. We feel that the memories we now hold can never be removed from our minds, for they give us inspiration and a desire to go on. As each one of us leaves to take his place in this life, we look back and say as others have said, It was worth it all.
