' HUGHESVILLE MONARCH HIGH SCHOOL Commencement Four years we've worked for this Commencement Day y And now it's here, But still we feel a pang at leaving Things so dear. We worked, we played, and laughed together These four years, And now to think that they are ended Brings out the tears. We've spent the best days of our lives Here with each other, And as the years go by, we will be bound Closer together. Four years we've spent within these walls, And now they're past, But tho' we're far away, we will remember them 'Till the last. -Anonymous. Farewell S6'7Qj07 J With the coming of graduation there is a feeling that is similar to that after the loss of a good friend, a relative, or a close acquaintance. The joy of the end of school term is marred by the passing of our Senior Class, an event unpleasant as it is un- avoidable. The years of friendship pass too swiftly by, and we Hnd ourselves at the parting point. Without the Seniors, next year, the school will seem to have an unusual emptiness. The Seniors will be missed very much, for in all our school activities they have played an important part. Their leaving will create a great loss in the ranks of our football, basketball and baseball teams, in our track and debating teams, and our school paper staff. Consequently their departure will leave a gap in the every day school life that will be impossible to mend. Realizing, though, that there is an end to every good thing we reluctantly bid them au revoir since we hope to see them again some day, and in the meanwhilef- May the best of luck and happiness be yours in the many years to come. SKIPPY LUNGER.
