1961 HUGHES EVENING HIGH SCHOOL WEST KNIGHT T H IE IECHQ FOREWORD In this time and age, many fields in the world of science are advancing us in the various means of technological research. Space has been conquered this year and many more astounding feats will be accomplished before this year is out. Today our ways of transportation are increasing our communications with other countries, which in turn makes all countries of the world our neighbors and not just some distant name. In many ways our society becomes more complex, due to these new technological advances in research For example: Jet airliners have cut the travel time of five years ago almost in half. New and better highways are increasing our mark- keting processes. Newer and more modern housing projects are on the increase. There is newer and more complex machinery which requires trained technicians Therefore, it is necessary for people living in this Space age to set their sights on a higher and a more advanced education.
