142 - CIubsfYearbook O to er Considering only one person signed up for annual staff during spring registration last year, we've certainly come a long way. After getting a late start on ad sales, we finally managed to get our act together three fmaybe twol weeks before our first deadline. Though none of the staff members receive any credit for the class, the work we've put in could easily be compared to that of two or three classes. As l'm sure you've already noticed, flf not, you haven't been looking hard enoughlj this edition of Nulli Secundus is unlike any previous one. Jeff Parker, along with Mike Richardson, designed the radical cover, and Paula McCaskill produced the variety of headlines on all the pages. The publication of the annual could not have been completed without the help of the following people: Mr. Millspaugh for letting the staff raid the Graphics Dept. sixth period every day: the Library, whose typewriter never failed us when ours decided to take a vacation: Mrs. Baumgarner, for allowing 12 restless attendants, 2 grumpy teachers, and 3 tired staff members into her home for homecoming pictures: and to Mrs. Bolden who always seemed to recognize those underclassmen we just couldn't put our finger on. Top Row: Advisor, Harriet Small. Third Row: Jennifer Parker. Second Row: David Carter, Tracy Lambert, Barbie Andrews, Jeff Parker. First Row: Paula McCaskill, Denese Davis, and Joanie Humphrey. Denese Davis bites a bad paper while working hard on the yearbook!

For the more scientific-minded students of Cummings, the Student Academy of Science was begun in 1979. Led by Donna Oliver, the purpose of the club is to promote the study of science outside the class. This year, the club has had guest lectures on science careers, how to conduct scientific study, and medical technology. Of course they had their usual parties and field trips. This is a very inquisitive group of scientists, and this is the largest club ever with 61 members, says Mrs. Oliver, and the students make the difference. 144 - CIubsfSAS
