When we returned to CHS from the summer vacation, most of us were pleasantly stunned to see Dr. Helen LeGette, former guidance counselon occupying the assistant principal's ofhce. It was now her job to oversee the bus routes, lunch lines, text- books and supplies, and various other tasks. lt has been a very good year for us because we still have Dr. LeGette with us. She changed jobs, but she is still loved by all as a firm yet gentle friend. Dr. LeGette tinally gets a chance to sit down. CHS Secretaries ive. aww.. Ngsf E Princbal Mr. J. A. Freeman Our principal greeted this school year with his usual vitality and effec- tiveness . Along with his new assistant principal he charted a course of in- novative actions for the entire school Together they developed a lyceum series which proved to be a tremen- dous success. In-school suspension was instituted at CHS and served its purpose well.
