Ecttor 's Letter As editor this year, l really enjoyed all of the responsibil ities and decisions that came with the title. I would be re- miss if l did not first of all thank the members of the annu- al staff-in particular Mindy Huffstetler, next year's editor-and my parents. They constantly supported me and helped as much as possible. There are many other people l need to thank. Follow- ing are those who contributed significantly to the publica- tion of our annual: Dale Epperly who designed the cover and also did much of the art work. The seal on the cover was originally designed by Dale 's brother, Wayne, a CHS graduate, who also made the suggestion that Cummings' Mascot be the Cavalier. Others are Judy Pike and Zonna Warren who designed the division pages showing the Cavalier moving until he reaches the highest point,' Tracy Jeffries and Tressie Springfield who gave their time in help- ing to put the book together although they were not members of the staff' Eddie Huffman and Steve Blalock who contributed some pictures to the classes and student life sections: Mr. Rick Campbell, photographer, The Burlington Daily Times-Ne ws, and Mr. Jim Morgan-all con- tributed photographsf Mrs. Helen Paschal and Kenneth Brown who contributed needed copy,' Mrs. Helen Mason who supported and cooperated with us far beyond the call of duty,' Mrs. Pat Mclntyre who spent much time help- ing us get the needed materials, and Donna Hooper who did most of the typing of our book. l would also like to thank the entire CHS faculty and ad ministrafion,' lnterCollegiate Press who published our book and their representative, Mr. Robert Lawson: and finally our advisors Mrs. Stout and Mrs. Evans. Without the contributions of all of the people l have mentioned and many others, it would not have been pos- sible to publish another successful edition of Nulli Secun- dus. l hope you will cherish this yearbook for many years to come.
