Dear Friends, We know that you join us in congratulating our football team on a SUPER start to the '87 season! We are sure that every student has high hopes of a play-off berth for this year. As cheerleaders we realize the importance of school spirit and crowd participation. We are working hard to make this year's pep rallies better than ever, and to show our football team we are behind them 1009B! We hope that each student will do his part in helping us reach our goal. Starting Friday the Spirit Award at the Pep Rally will be given to the class that shows the most spirit throughout the entire pep rally which includes the cheers, chants, fight song, and most importantly the Alma-Mater. We'll be handing out the words before the pep-rally to the Alma-Mater. We encourage everyone to stand and sing to show his respect for Hueytown High! The class winner will be announced at the end of the pep-rally following the fight song! At the game Friday night there will be a student section roped off for students only. We ask that you show your spirit by sitting there. School Spirit is such an important part of helping our football team. So everybody wear anything purple or gold tomorrow, wish a player GOOD LUCK, and let's have a great pep- rally. Good Luck to Our Gophers!
