THE 15) 5 2 RETROSPECT OF 1I1IEYTOWN HIGH SCHOOL ui HUEYTOWAT, ALABAMA Days should speak, and multitude of years should leach wisdom. Job 32:7 Foreword Though the years to Come may bring much happiness and great success, we believe that you will look back upon your high school days os the happiest days of your life. We believe, too, that you will look back upon the pages of y.our annual with a wistful eye. In memory you will again walk down the hall as you did in the days gone past, or stroll across the campus to greet some friend you hove not seen for some time, or linger, for a moment, in some place so dear to you. You may not think of this book as we of the annual staff do, but to us it is o masterpiece on which we've worked by day, ond dreamed by night. We had our ups and downs, and yet we have enjoyed it; and it is with great pride that we present to you the 1952 RETROSPECT. Contents Dedication In deep (appreciation we dedicate this 1952 Retrospect to MRS. OPAL HENDERSON He which soweth bountifully shall also reap bountifully. II Corinthians 9:6 3n illemortam MR. R. E. DEESE Last year, at school, among the children he loved so well, Mr. R. E. Deese passed away. Mr. Deese had been a teacher at Hueytown High School for more than thirty years. He was called Fess by most of the students. Many of our parents were taught by Mr. Deese. Whenever an errand was to be done Fess was always on hand willing to help. His place cannot be filled. MR. H.
