AFS The 1977-78 American Field Service purpose was to help ALL foreign exchange students to enjoy their stay in America. The Club consisting of 25 members, one of the largest active groups is designed for both youth for understanding and American Field Service exchange for students. A few of the activities and fund raisers were: X-mas dinner at the Gin Mill. The A.F.S. annual Talent Show (held in April), Car washes, Flomecoming carnation sales, attened both the county conference and the overnight Tri-county conference. This club is open to everybody. The Hoopsteretts Club keeps all statistics for the Varsity Basketball team. It also sponsors the annual Red-White intersquad basketball game. Last year, the Club originated the Pernell Brown memorial award, witch is givin to a deserving Basketball player for his use in attending a summer Basketball camp. The one-hundred and fifty dollars award was given last year to Craig Maulhardt. The HoopsterettsClub is also involved in various fund raising activities such as Concessions, program sales, interuationcd fair. This years officers are: Pres.-Donna Jackson, V.
