AFS The 1977-78 American Field Service purpose was to help ALL foreign exchange students to enjoy their stay in America. The Club consisting of 25 members, one of the largest active groups is designed for both youth for understanding and American Field Service exchange for students. A few of the activities and fund raisers were: X-mas dinner at the Gin Mill. The A.F.S. annual Talent Show (held in April), Car washes, Flomecoming carnation sales, attened both the county conference and the overnight Tri-county conference. This club is open to everybody. CONCERT CHOIR The Concert Choir has existed for 16 years, and has been a club for two years, performing an average of five con- certs a year including our Christmas and Spring con- certs, We also perform for such community groups as the Hueneme Bay Association. The money from our fund-raising projects goes for our awards banquet at the end of the year. The choir was directed by Mr. Clinton Dawley this year, and was previously directed by Mr. George Hamm, who is on sabatical leave this year. The orchestra is made up of fine musicians. They perform in concerts throughout the year. Many hours go into practice for their concerts. Front row. (L to R).
