Back in the days of the ancient Vikings, the Valkyries were the maidens that led the warriors to battle. Today our Valkyries lead our teams to victory. These high stepping girls accompany the band and deserve high honors for their precision routines. Their devotion to their high standards calls them to early practices while most students are enjoying a few more minutes of sleep. The results of these practices are always worthwhile when they join the band in entertaining at our football games.

Their main purpose being to stimu- late the interest of those students intent on a career in education. Each member takes part in a Day of Teaching during which he teaches or helps teach a class. The Future Teachers Club sponsors many bake Patsy Moreheod, Connie Nielson, Leslie lamkin, Nancy Cupp, Alverno Gant. ROW THREE: Henry Tatum, Steve Yonkcr, Varre Cummins, Kelly Williams, Bob Casey, Oonno Reese, Kathy Finegan, Shoron Dyar, Bonnie Meshul, Kathy Lindberg, Marion Bobouto. sales and concessions. One of their highlight ac- tivities this year was Picadilly Week, where they sold hundreds of dill pickles. With the proceeds of these projects the F. T. A. makes a contribution of $50 to the P. T.
