Always a monumental success, the funds are used for the club project. The Sword and Shield also performs various services for the school. Under the untiring direction and coaching of Mrs. Dauer and Mr. Willey, our speech enthusiasts are among the finest speakers in Southern Cal- ifornia. They learn to express themselves in such fields as humorous interpretation, extemporaneous speaking, oratory, and formal debate. At the close of each year, the Speech Club joins with the Thespians to choose the outstanding students of the two organizations.
