Ir wos on September 1, 1984, rhe motorcycle on which Missy wos o passenger went our of control ond crashed. She was paralyzed from the woisr down. In December, 1984, or Mory Free Bed Hospital, Missy began to feel her legs move. She wos released from Mory Free Bed on December 21, 1984 ond continued therapy os on outpatient until Moy 1985. Missy hos omozed her doctors, friends, and family with her recovery ond determination ro be normal’, says Missy’s mom. Graduating in 1986, Missy plans ro attend Davenport College.
