Hudsonville High School Hudsonville, Michigan Contents 1 Mother raises family. High school pals. Fourteen years of age. Six months old. At the age of three years. 2 Dedication Dedication We, the class of 85, would like to dedicate th 1984- 1985 yearbook to Mrs. Bonnie Meppelink in return for her hard work and dedication to the students at Hud- sie High. She has been the secretary here for the past ten years and has often been plagued with questions and ringing telephones as she tried to finish her work. Bonnie grew up in Wyoming and graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High School in 1957. After high school, she married and worked for Michigan Fidel Loan Company for a few years before quitting to raise a family of six. Her interests include: camping, reading, and travel- ing. She has also been active in Cub Scouts as a den- mother, playing the piano for the church choir, and is presently a bandbooster. We'd like to express our appreciation to Bonnie for her help and patience, with special thanks to her from the yearbook staff. Bonnie Meppelink “Our gang’’ High school graduation - 18 years old. Summer Science Monday, July 23,1984, twenty Hudsonville students, two teachers and their families loaded up their vans and headed west. They followed a highway which led them through valleys, across plains and over mountains to Yellowstone National Park, where they spent nine days gaining an education about the biological and geological aspects of the park. All those who went had a great time and gained an insight and appreciation of the beauty that our country's National Parks have to offer. Sunset on the banks of the Missouri. This change was made as the yearbook will be a more complete book of memories, all the way from Homecoming to Prom and Gradua- tion. The staff of the 1985 Pioneer has put forth great effort to ensure the wait for this book will be well worth it. We have had our share of ups and downs but through it all we have stuck together and accom- plished a lot. We would like to thank those who contributed, especially Bob Moelker and Tuong Pham without whom the yearbook might not have been finished. It’s a critical choice, but only one of hundreds of important choices all of us must make throughout our lives. The right to make such choices is a privilege only we who live in the free world enjoy. Most of humanity is still being told how their lives must be lived. For them, freedom of choice does not exist. We should think about that once in awhile.
